Project
Nepal 2010
March/April, 2010
In January 2009, four Canadian professionals were inspired to make
a meaningful difference in the global community. The League of Ordinary
Gentlemen was born, and they partnered with Street
Kids International, with the goal of funding the start-up of
the Street Work, Street Health and Street Rights programs in the
long-troubled Terai district of Nepal.
Over the course
of 15 months, $60,000 was raised to benefit Street Kids International.
In March/April 2010, the group traveled to Biratnagar, Nepal in
order to participate in the roll out of the Street Work program
start-up. The League assisted with the delivery of the training
session and saw the money at work empowering a future generation
of Nepali children. Additional photos will be available in our Facebook
group, so please
join.
The League of
Ordinary Gentlemen would like to thank our supporters for making
this extremely worthwhile project possible, and also our sponsors
for their generous support.
